Message

Dear colleagues,

As you know, on March 11, 2011, a massive earthquake and tsunami struck Japan's Tohoku (northeast) region, with an estimated death toll over 30,000 and many times more left homeless in harsh conditions. The subsequent Fukushima nuclear power plant accident and ongoing crisis is pushing us further into despair.

My family and I are very fortunate to be safe so far. It has been an overwhelming experience, but I am very touched by all your support and encouragement upon this unprecedented disaster. However, many of those who have lost their homes and families continue to face great sufferings and challenges of recovery.

In these difficult times, I feel that it is my responsibility as a survivor of this calamity to try my best to help those who are more affected regain hope and courage. Because of the many offers of support I received, I am attempting to coordinate donations for the sake of better restoring health to this greatly afflicted city.

I would greatly appreciate if you could also spread the word to your friends and colleagues.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and thank you for your support.

   Sincerely,
